"Saint-Quentin-Fallavier" park & ride station
For daily travels between Northern Isère and Lyon urban area, a park & ride station and an intermodal hub were built near the exit of the A43 motorway at the interchange #5 connecting Lyon to Grenoble and Chambery.
Since March 2009, this facility located within one of the largest logistic zones in France (0,618 mile² of logistic surface) offers an express connection via the motorway with the Transisère "Ligne Express 1920" between Bourgoin and Lyon every 15 minutes during peak time.
This facility also enables carpooling allowing free disposal of a parking nearby the motorway interchange including a drop-off zone and a bike shelter.
This intermodal hub connects public transports users with routes in the department and border departments, urban routes and on-demand transportation to firms located in Chesnes business park.
Since this first multimodal hub in northern Isère was implemented, results are encouraging for users traveling in Lyon area.
